Selection of PLiXiR BAC:
For optimal audio transient and dynamics performance it is important to over-rate your actual power usage by at least 50% (x1.5). Very often, 100% (x2) is better.
This is particularly important for power amplifiers. For example, if your system’s total system power maximum (source + power amplifier) is 1000W (from the user manual of your equipment), the minimum supply should be 1500W.
